KARAOKE PARTICIPANTS, PLEASE READ FIRST

This thread is subject to change, but is as it stands as you see it.

OKAY. So, funny story about last year's event. It could have gone better. And the main reason was, though I specifically issued a medium of which to bring in, it didn't happen. I asked for CDs, and I got a whole bunch of gadgets, and because there were more gadgets than CDs, blah blah blah, specifics specifics specifics.

So I'm going to say this now, a good seven months in advance.

BRING YOUR COMPACT DISC(S){CD(s)} WITH YOUR SONGS OF CHOICE ON IT.

And UPON your choice, have the song title, artist, and where it is from known before you step to the mic. It just makes it a lot easier.
And hey, I'm a cool guy, I don't want to deny anybody or their gadgets, so please comply! Because the more people we have singing, the more fun it will be!

Don't want to waste your money on CDs?
Well at Walgreens and other small convenience stores, a pack of 5 costs about 99 cents. Cheap, no? And you can keep any CD you don't use!

How about you post songs you have on your pc also? The karaoke versions of songs.And there are sites to add to your own library too, its good to get people to bring their own stuff, especially if its a hard to find song, but its good to have a base choice of selections also on your end. Mostly because cosplayers have alot to bring with ''things'' needed to cosplay.
So maybe make a list of ones you have,just my thoughts ^.^

Second; not everyone has the karaoke versions of the songs they want to sing. How do you propose this be remedied?

I know not every song has a karaoke version,as i mentioned in my post though that to just add more selections to your list would be good just in general. If you like i can help you add to your list, because alot of animes have at least one or 2 songs that they set for karaoke like .Hack//Sign has 2 songs that i know of with karaoke versions, Ayumi Hamasaki, i know you have her i have Dearest in karaoke version if you dont have it,Cardcaptor Sakura has a few in kraoke version, just to name a few. It is a good idea as i mentioned to have people bring their own,you are right on with that, but for those that just pop into the con lastr minute or dont see the forums, it would be good to have a nice selection yourself.
Im more than happy to help you out Aoi ^.^ I can burn you a disk and mail it to you with some karaoke song versions i have,i dont have many myself but anything extra is good for the con.And if you like you can email me or private message me so we dont tie it up here hehe.

Okay...I have an idea actually, let's see if it works...

To those of you who would be generous to lend us your music, give me a list of the music you have! And please keep it anime/game related!

Off the bat, I know I could give songs from
-Hikaru Utada (Exodus, with a side of Ultra Blue)
-Nami Tamaki (Greeting)
-Puffy Amiyumi (Nice...and don't ask me why I have it, its cute <.< )

As well as some random popular songs from animes, j-rock/pop stars, and games, like X-2's "realEmotion," stuff from Gackt, RaxEphon's "Hemisphere" and that sort of thing.

Perhaps...I should compile a list of my own. But if it means that the convention has its own personal library, then why not? ^_^
